Ravi (Ravi Krishna) a teenager staying with his parents in Brindavan Colony, in Hyderabad, fallas for his new neighbor in Flat No 7/G – Anita (Sonia Agarwal) a beautiful Punjabi girl, at first sight. But Ravi, ill disciplined, undereducated, and ill mannered is no match for Anita. Besides Anita has a rich Punjabi boyfriend. Undeterred by all this, Ravi pursues Anita no end. He is rebuked time and again and eventually gets slapped by her. Ravi is a changed man now and the effect is not lost on Anita. She also sees how Ravi is a man with a heart of gold and notices how her own boyfriend is more materialistic in hit outlook. nita becomes Ravi’s muse and he is firmly sets out to discover his strengths and understand his worth. Even as Anita is gradually taken in by the qualities of Ravi, her marraige is already fixed. Confronted by parental opposition and a responsibility towrds her ailing father, she feels compelled not to break the marraige but before that she wants to reward Rvi by granting him few moments of physical intimacy. But tragedy was just lurking round the corner.
An extremely bold idea based on a true story, told impactfully, with sensible direction, slick screenplay, terrific characterization, good music, 7/G Brindavan Colony certainly adds a feather to the caps of A.M.Ratnam (Producer) and Sri Raghavan (Director). Ravi Krishna excels in an author-backed role. Sonia Agarwal makes an impressive Telugu debut.
