FM is set in a late 70’s rock station, with a steady soundtrack of great music from the era. Overall this film has been unfairly underrated by many critics. It is a pleasant, lighthearted comedy. Nothing that will have you rolling in the aisles with laughter to be sure, but some nice viewing nonetheless. The story concerns the DJs at the station and their attempt to keep the commercialism of the station to a minimum. The station has reached #1 in the local market area and because of this the company that owns the station wants to take advantage of this and increase the amount of advertising. Things come to a head after the station manager refuses to run recruiting ads for the U.S. Army. Includes some great concert footage from Jimmy Buffet and Linda Ronstadt.
