When a gang of vicious outlaws torments the residents of Firecreek, only Johnny Cobb (James Stewart) is willing to don the sheriff’s star and save the beleaguered townspeople from harm. Now, the rookie lawman must face the callous and cruel Bob Larkin (Henry Fonda) and unite his people to rise up against the band of barbarous bandits, as they fight to take back the once peaceful Western town.
